What an Amazing Loft! Who wants to live in that property? If you’re interested, then read on!

Have you ever wondered what a loft is? Do you want to live in a loft or a loft style house? There had been few times that our website has featured a luxurious loft style house.  We hope you have seen that post recently.  In case you missed that episode, you can view it here.

This loft style house we are featuring today is much simpler than the one we just posted lately.  Salter Spiral Stair write that loft style homes maximize their space by eliminating the majority of interior walls and utilizing an open floor plan. Lofts are traditionally made from renovating old buildings, such as barns and warehouses, and are the homes of young professionals and singles.

Whatever size, shape and design lofts have, they share these four characteristics:

Open Spaces
The most common characteristic of all lofts is they have large open spaces. The reason for this is that usually, lofts are built from renovated warehouses or abandoned buildings. Some designers would often design lofts to exude an aura of old look.

Walls

There are minimal walls in a loft style home.  Some lofts may even have no walls at all. For organization, you can arrange your appliances and furnishings by creating different sections in the open space.  You can create natural separation of space by organizing the different sections accordingly.

Windows and Doors
The windows and doors in loft homes define the property because the designer can be flexible and creative in this particular area.

Because of the open floor plan, large windows play a very important role. If the loft is installed with large glass doors and glass windows, they are the main source of light that makes the interior bright and even look larger.

Loft Stairs
Often times, loft style homes maximize space with a mezzanine level.  The creation of mezzanine gives an impression of a second floor though oftentimes, it just stays as an open area used as a terrace or roof deck.

The use of stairs or ladders give an extra appeal for the overall appearance of the loft style home. If the mezzanine is accessed regularly, a stable staircase should be built.  A ladder, though it may add an appeal, is not advisable for long-term use because it may slip or collapse and this poses danger to the home owners.

Specifications:

The loft is built on a 100-square meter lot.

2 bedrooms

1 bathroom

1 living room
